I’m Tim van den Boog, originally born in the Netherlands in the 80’s. From a young age, I was strolling Dutch forests and coastlines with fascination. I was capturing nature with my first film cameras, which I had bought with my pocket money. As a teenager, that affection for the outdoors increasingly diminished and I started binding more and more with my computer. I began designing and building websites, emerging myself in this extensive digital world. My university studies have focused on nature and environment, while I kept working as designer and developer. Today, I enjoy to combine those aspects in my work: nature, photography and graphic design.
From a very young age I was walking around with a good old film camera. This hobby grew out to become a passion and is nowadays generating income. At start, I learned the basic skills from a close friend. When internet appeared, I started following photographers and their blogs. However, nothing beats a good real-life workshop during which you learn from the masters themselves. Then the trick is to simply go out and shoot, repeat repeat repeat. I will be teaching the following photography classes from spring through autumn in and around Squamish, check the schedule here:
“Tim fully understands the business objectives and is able to challenge you with surprising graphical input. No problem too big or too small, every challenge is met with good grace and a practical solution, worked in harmony with all stakeholders and never lost sight of the overall objective. I would welcome the opportunity to work alongside Tim again and highly recommend him.”
“Tim was great to work with. He grasped our needs and delivered perfect outcomes speedily and accurately. He was always incredibly well organized, proactively responsible with next iterations, and easy to communicate with even over long distances internationally from Japan.”
