About.
TIM(IT)
I’m Tim van den Boog, originally born in the Netherlands in the 80’s. From a young age, I was strolling Dutch forests and coastlines with fascination. I was capturing nature with my first film cameras, which I had bought with my pocket money. As a teenager, that affection for the outdoors increasingly diminished and I started binding more and more with my computer. I began designing and building websites, emerging myself in this extensive digital world. My university studies have focused on nature and environment, while I kept working as designer and developer. Today, I enjoy to combine those aspects in my work: nature, photography and graphic design.
Photography skills.
From a very young age I was walking around with a good old film camera. This hobby grew out to become a passion and is nowadays generating income. At start, I learned the basic skills from a close friend. When internet appeared, I started following photographers and their blogs. However, nothing beats a good real-life workshop during which you learn from the masters themselves. Then the trick is to simply go out and shoot, repeat repeat repeat. I will be teaching the following photography classes from spring through autumn in and around Squamish, check the schedule here:
